Catholic School Vs Homeschool

May 19th, 2010

In a catholic school, it is found out that the teachers do not have the time to teach. There are too many children in one class and only one teacher. This makes it difficult for the children to understand the lesson. There is no personal attention paid to any child in a catholic school.

Too many distractions are present in a school. The children are asked to learn together without any personal attention. Whether they are interested or not, is not the question. If the curriculum has got the lesson, the child has to learn it, whether he likes it or not.

Moreover, the child has to follow one routine throughout the school timings. He has to follow the bell and get no extra time for any thing. The school is always overcrowded.

Homeschool children can learn at their own pace. He gets personal attention from his teacher. There is not competition of peer group and he enjoys learning. He does not feel lost in a class of 40 children. If he has a question, he can ask his teacher. The teacher will also have lots of time as there is only one student to listen to.

Homeschool is much safer than any catholic school. The child is not bullied. There is no distraction and no bad company. The child can learn freely whenever he wants, not when he is asked to learn.

There is a lot of interaction of parents and child in homeschool. The child can spend more quality time with his parent as he is home learning.

Christian Homeschool Is the Choice of Many Christian Parents

May 3rd, 2010

The National Household Education Survey in the year 2003 and 2007 showed that two-thirds of parents choose homeschooling. Around 83% of the parents gave religious and moral reasons for this choice. Many Christian parents do not give education as their priority. They believe in Christian homeschool which they feel cannot be done by others. They do not have confidence in other hands of educating their children.

Christian parents choose Christian homeschool as they believe that learning material should be from a biblical point of view. The most important thing is God’s glorification in their life. It has been found out by most Christian homeschooling parents that biblical guidelines are very important for them.

There are many Christian mothers who remove their child from public school because of bullying and teasing. Some are concern for lack of discipline which has been found in many schools. They think that the child will not be able to get the attention which is required by sending them to public schools. Some Christian parents have this reason too for homeschooling. But this reason has been found by many parents of other religious backgrounds too.

Some parents think that their children should not mix with other religion people who have secular living. This is not the thinking of only Christian parents. Many parents think that interaction is important for all children. Socializing is important for all children, homeschooled or non homeschooled.

Christian homeschooling parents think that education in public schools is not from a Christian viewpoint. This is why they go in for Christian homeschool for their children.
